The ICIE Representative Office in the Asia-Pacific Region takes an active part in the development of multilateral relations with the territories of South and North Korea and the People's Republic of China bordering Russia.
From May 13 to 16, 2024, employees of the ICIE representative office in the Asia-Pacific region took part in meetings and negotiations with the delegation of the Rason Special Economic Zone (DPRK) at the site of the Primorsky Krai government on the development of relations in the field of mutual tourism, sports, culture and trade operations that do not affect the UN distribution.
On May 17 and 18, together with representatives of the Vladivostok City Duma, we received a large delegation of 33 people from South Korea in Vladivostok and Primorsky Krai. The delegation consisted mostly of chairmen of the legislative assemblies of districts and cities in Gangwon Province (Republic of Korea), including from the cities of Donghae and Sokcho, with which Vladivostok and the Russian Federation are connected by direct ferry service.
On May 23, the ICIE representative office acted as a partner and took part in the International Business Forum "Cooperation. Business. New Opportunities". Companies from China, Vietnam, and enterprises from the Russian Far East actively exhibited their products at the GLOBAL EXPO Vladivostok exhibition.
On May 24, the Vice-President of the ICIE, Head of the ICIE Representative Office in the Asia-Pacific Region E.A. Rusetsky delivered a welcoming speech at the international Scientific and Practical Conference.
"Development of humanitarian and tourist cooperation in the Russian-Chinese-North Korean tri-border area" at the Russian Academy of Sciences in Vladivostok. Diplomats and scientists from China, the DPRK and the Russian Federation took part in this conference.
This work of the ICIE Representative Office in the Asia-Pacific region contributes to the stabilization of the situation on the Korean Peninsula and the constructive, multi-vector development of relations in the Russian border area and the Asia-Pacific region as a whole.
